Karnataka Sangha Book FairThe book fairs in Shimoga happens all around the year, the Karnataka Sangha book fair is famous in Shimoga city, and it is organized by Karnataka Sangha. The book fair holds books from more than ten leading publishers and includes the publication sections of many universities which participate in the book fair. The Karnataka Sangha book fair was started in the year 2005 when it was inaugurated by the former Minister of State Vishwanath Reddy and since then it has been happening every year.
This book fair has made the local people living in Shimoga to develop a good reading habit. The book fairs in Shimoga have books from leading national publications like the National Book Trust, Karnataka Sahitya Academy, Nava Karnataka Publishers, Nrimala Prakashana, Karnataka University, Publication Wings of Kuvempu University, Gulbarga University. The fruits and flowers exhibition is organized by the Department of Horticulture and it mostly takes place at the Mahatma Gandhi Park. The main aim of this fruits and flowers exhibition is to make the people get an awareness about different vegetables, fruits and flowers that can be found in and around the city.
The exhibition takes for three continuous place and the flowers and the fruits are used in a creative way to attract the people who visit the exhibition. The flower replicas of animals can be found installed in the exhibition. The flower model that was made on the theme of Mangalayan project that comes under the Indian Space Research Organization got a wide appreciation.

The entry fee for this expo are meager and is well connected by different modes of transport that makes it easier for the people to reach easily.
